Where We Play
From a historic 1928 movie palace to a brand-new concert hall, the Symphony performs across San Bernardino.
Opened in March 2026, the new Performing Arts Center becomes the Symphony's primary home — an intimate theater with extraordinary acoustics and cutting-edge technology, and the stage for concerts large and small. Parking is on the Cal State San Bernardino campus, where a daily permit is required.
For decades, the Symphony performed most of its subscription concerts in this beautiful and historic theater in downtown San Bernardino, opened by Fox West Coast Theaters in 1928. Designed for orchestral performance, it hosted Will Rogers' final public performance in 1935.
An auditorium from the WPA era, built under the leadership of founder Jimmy Guthrie, and home to youth concerts, chamber music, and special community evenings — our youth orchestras make their first stage appearances here. Free lots across from the venue are held for us on performance evenings.
The setting for our annual concert under the stars each summer, when chairs, blankets, and coolers spread out and the evening ends in fireworks. Food is encouraged, and a picnic on the field is part of the night, with free lots across the street held for us.
